You'll have to try asking an english teacher. I don't work with rules, I work with instinct and habit.

Rules and logic are the formalization of what we really know. Intuition is good, by not the instinct, which comes from our animal origins and is not really adapted in our days. The problem for a human is he or she cannot make the distinction between one and the other, except with analysis and reflexion, or consciousness. Logic is the tool which helps us to work with our brain without perturbations. Lots of people use logic not to use their brain correctly but to convince them of something, and the logic is diverted. Anyway, the use of logic patterns helps us to understand the reality with a minimal work... good, isn't it ?

Do you know what a procrastinator is? It's someone who has to do something (usually study for an exam or write an important paper), but instead of working on it, he or she will do anything else he or she will get his or her hands on.

I am a procrastinator.

However, I am trying very hard to not be distracted by anything. Which is very hard. Good thing I still have a month to study before exams.

I also like to rant a lot. Has anyone noticed? You may consider this as flooding, too. But then I'll have one thing less on my mind. Which is good for my studies.

Unless of course I end up with an idea for a story or a drawing. In which case we can officially say I'm screwed.

My rant is finished. I can now go back to studying law articles and court cases. Or procrastinate. No, I'm going to study. Honest!

My dear Keira, I have the same problem than you but I found a solution : you must consider your work has interresant as others activities

The word "procrastinator" has a greak origin : "pro" for "to" and "cras" for "tomorrow". So, a procrastinator is someone who thinks "Oh, I'll do that tomorrow...".

Maybe you have just attention troubles ?

It's still hard to do. Maybe I do have some little attention problems (who here never saw me spacing out?).

Or I just don't like to work... unless I'm really interested.

You can work to obtain something, but you're not interested in working, don't you ?

I'm ok with working for something I enjoy. Example: Writing a story.
Working to cram nonsense in my head is harder.
